Ever since ChatGPT entered the market, even Google has been restless. Google wanted to launch its AI model first, but OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Microsoft’s Bing have already won the game. Since then, Google has worried about the future of its AI Bard. But finally, Google also launched its AI service, BARD. BARD, an experimental conversational AI service based on the company’s language model LaMDA. Google has opened BARD AI service access to some selected countries i.e. Early Access to Google’s Bard AI is being made available to some countries.
Feedback and safety are the primary focus of Google Bard
Last week google decided that it will include Bard in its Workspace to gather extensive feedback from a wider user base for training and refining the technology. Tech giant Google already highlighted these developments in a new blog post on AI.
Google has also said that it will not compromise on quality and security and has promised that it will always focus on quality and security. Google is using human feedback and evaluation to make its system more advanced and better. Tech giant Google also taking steps to prevent spam and abuse. For this, Google has also built BARD with railings to easily limit the maximum number of exchanges in a conversation. This in itself is a commendable step.

From today Google has opened its AI service BARD for early access through waiting list. Users can visit the official website and click on the “Join waitlist” button.
There are also some limitations here.
- You cannot sign up for early access using a Google Workspace account.
- Google BARD AI has restricted or limited availability to boot.
- This is for US and UK only for now.
- You may need a VPN to access it.
- Not available in India
