Meta company soon going to add a chat lock feature to its popular messaging app WhatsApp. With the help of the WhatsApp chat lock feature, users will be able to lock any of their personal or intimate chats. Along with this, they will also be able to lock the chat of any group.

As per the blog post of WhatsApp, with this new facility, the security and privacy of WhatsApp will be maintained and it will also increase. If the mobile comes into the hands of any other person, then he will not be able to read the locked chat. In this way, the privacy of the user will be maintained. • Users can connect their locked chats from the Locked Chats section.
• Users can list their special contact chats or groups separately from regular chats.
• With this WhatsApp chat lock feature, users can automatically hide their special chat notifications from the notification panel.
• Locked chats can be accessed via PIN, Password, or Biometric.
• User can able to reveal locked chat by pulling down the inbox and entering PIN, password, or biometric.  

How to use WhatsApp Chat Lock Feature

Following are the ways through which users can use this feature:

• If you don’t have WhatsApp then you have to install it. If you already have WhatsApp then you have to update your WhatsApp app from the google play store or iOS.
• Open the WhatsApp App.
• Find, select, and tap (to open the chat window) the contact or group for which you want to enable this feature.
• Tap at the top (the name of the particular contact or group).
• Here you will get the option of Chat Lock. You have to enable the toggle to lock chat.
