Who is Best ChatGPT or Google Bard

Ever since ChatGPT has come in the market, there has been a stir in the world of AI. Google has also launched its AI feature Google Bard. Now people are not able to understand which one is better. Today we will compare these two and tell you which one is better. Although this is my personal experience and as far as I understand almost everyone will have the same experience. Let us know briefly about ChatGPT and BARD.

What is OpenAI’s ChatGPT

As we all know that ChatGPT has been developed by San-Francisco based company OpenAI. it is extremely capable of GPT-3 model. It can write complex code, write stories, draft essays, rephrase paragraphs, make lists, and do much more. After the launch of GPT-4, this bot has become more powerful and modern. This is the main reason for its popularity.

What is Google’s Bard

Google’s new experimental conversational AI “BARD” is smaller-sized version of the company’s LaMDA language model. Google has prepared BARD according to its own sets of data. According to Google, BARD will give high quality response including some of responses of ChatGPT.

Differences Between ChatGPT and BARD

1. ChatGPT and it’s Latest GPT-4 can’t not access Internet. Both uses datasets before September 2021. While BARD have real-time access to the internet. BARD can provide latest information. This feature makes BARD more powerful.

2. ChatGPT can write code while BARD cannot code (not added support for code yet). ChatGPT is better than BARD in terms coding.

3. ChatGPT’s recent GPT-4 language model supports for 26 different languages for different countries including Spanish, Italian, Hindi, French, Arabic etc.  This feature makes ChatGPT extremely capable bot to chat in many languages. While BARD only supports US English language. Google is also working for multilanguage support for BARD.

4. ChatGPT usage conversation retention functionality (3000 words from current conversation), means if you had asked anything earlier it is capable of responding to subsequent inquiries without loosing track of initial context. While BARD don’t have such feature.

5. ChatGPT give single output result unless user explicitly told to “Regenerate response”. While BARD give multiple versions of the same answer, called Drafts. This is very good feature because you will have an option to select best answers among multiple versions.  

6. BARD AI can real-time access to the internet world but not crediting to source for information. Some time it is copying and paraphrasing its own data too.  ChatGPT don’t have access to internet world. It does good job in paraphrasing and don’t provide duplicate content but ChatGPT also not share sources.

7. Sadly, the Bard AI is prone to generating false information and experiencing hallucinations. But it is unintentionally. ChatGPT also prone to hallucination but the recent and latest GPT-4 claims to have reduced hallucinations by 35% compared to GPT-3. So, for now, ChatGPT seems the more accurate model.

Conclusion

Both ChatGPT and BARD usages their datasets to give answer. Google BARD has internet access, but ChatGPT has leverage for now. Because many such features which should really be needed in a bot are not in BARD. If Google BARD doesn’t refine its model, then users only use ChatGPT and it will be huge benefit for ChatGPT. ChatGPT has also launched its paid version ChatGPT Plus. It is also available on Apple Siri and Apple Watch. ChatGPT is the winner for me right now. Who do you think who is best CHATGPT or BARD?
